Canon enthusiasts have eagerly awaited the release of the EOS 5D Mark III and it has been worth the wait. This high performance DSLR is successor to the popular Mark II and the improvements have brought an even faster and more efficient professional camera.

The new upgrade includes a 22MP CMOS sensor, 6 frames per second continuous shooting, 1080p video and a greatly improved 61-point autofocus system.

The new DIGIC 5+ processor operates 17 times faster than the DIGIC 4 processor of the Mark II, bringing greater processing power and higher image quality. The continuous shooting speed has also improved considerably with the upgrade, increasing to 6fps from 3.9fps in the Mark II.

The enhancements continue with the Mark III’s video capabilities. Featuring a microphone input and headphone monitor along with adjustable recording volume, the Mark III records impressive 1080p video at 24, 25 or 30 fps.

The robust magnesium alloy body along with enhanced dust and weather seals ensure this camera is ideal for shooting in various environments.
